I've been musing over the announcement of iOS5 all day, trying to discern what I believe the most substantive feature of it will be. I really believe that it's the over-the-air updates and syncing that will set iOS5 apart from it's predecessors. It seems that this post-PC era was a huge driving force behind iOS5 and I really believe it's going to very dramatically change the way we do business with our mobile devices. Perhaps the most significant thing today that didn't get directly mentioned is that over-the-air syncing and updates mean you're going to be able to use your devices while these processes are happening. Previously your phone would be locked up while these tasks run. Being able to use the iPhone or iPad while syncing is going to be huge, mark my words.
